Listen several times

Feel free to listen to a text several times: the first time you understand what it is about. The second and third time you pay attention to the details – who, when, where, with whom.

Small words change a lot

In slow speech you also hear the small words – and they matter: con mi hermano or con mi hermana? Me gusta el té. or No me gusta el té.? With pero comes a contrast, with de ... a ... a period of time: de lunes a viernes, de ocho a cuatro.

Time words structure the text

In a story, time words show you the order: por la mañana, a mediodía, después, por la tarde, por la noche. Listen for them and you will know what happens first and what comes after.

Examples

  • Vivo en Panamá con mi hermano.
  • Trabajo de lunes a viernes, de ocho a cuatro.
  • No me gusta el café, pero me gusta mucho el té.
