What you use ser for

Identity: Soy Elena. (I am Elena.)

Origin and nationality: Soy de España. Soy español. (I am from Spain. I am Spanish.)

Profession: Es médica. (She is a doctor.)

Qualities with an adjective: Mi hermano es alto. Mis hermanas son españolas. (You learned how the adjective agrees in the previous lesson.)

Day of the week: Hoy es lunes. (Today is Monday.)
