What you use estar for

State: Estoy bien. No estoy bien. (I am well. I am not well.)

You already know this: «¿Cómo estás?» and «Bien, gracias» already contain estar - now you know what the whole verb looks like.

Location: Estamos en casa. (We are at home.)

Examples

¿Cómo estás? – Estoy bien, gracias.
No estoy bien.
Estamos en casa.
